I - Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize in physiscs awarded to Guglielmo Marconi, special event station IY1GMN will be QRV on 13-28 June from Sanremo (www.arisanremo.it). The activity will coincide with a vintage-radio exhibition ("From Marconi to Nowadays") to be hosted at Villa Nobel, where Alfred Nobel lived and died in 1896. | OE - The "Radio Club of America" was established in January 1909, and issued the first amateur radio licences in April of that year. To celebrate 100 Years of Amateur Radio, the Amateur Radio Section of ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) and the Documentary Archives Radio Communication/QSL Collection will be active as OE100M on 1-30 April (contacts made on the International Marconi Day, 25 April, will be valid for the IMD Award).
